Testing the CARHOE I
The CARHOE I is a three-legged structure that comes complete with base, caged ladder and 10' walkway. The operator’s platform is equipped with safety rails on both sides of the operator's chair. The power pack, consisting of a 7½ H.P. motor, 9 gallon pump, reservoir and starter box is located within easy reach, between the legs of the 16' tower.

The three booms, Swing, Power and Spade, move the operator out over the car allowing him to work either end of the car. The spade slices through the load then pushes or pulls the material out the hopper doors.

An individual can unload a hopper car while working safely above the car, never in it. Safe and easy unloading are at your finger tips with a CARHOE.
Three cylinders and a hydraulic motor are responsible for all movements of the CARHOE I. A 3½" cylinder moves the booms up to 130 degrees out and over the car. A Charlyn motor moves the operator's seat, spade and power boom up to 300 degrees enabling the operator to dig in either end of the car. Two heavy duty, 4" cylinders work the power boom and spade.
